Amtel-Chernozemye

The Amtel-Chernozemye Tire Production Complex in Voronezh became part of the Group in 2002. The Complex is one of the largest of its kind in Europe and produces tires for bicycles, motorcycles and other modes of transport.

In the early part of 2004, the Group launched the “Amtel-Chernozemye-I” project whereby it manufactures high-quality tires under the Amtel Planet and Amtel NordMaster brands. The Complexs annual production capacity is 2.2 million tires.

Upon completion of the second reconstruction stage in October 2004, the Group launched production of tires for passenger cars, light trucks and agricultural machinery. The Groups investment in the Amtel-Chernozemye Tire Complex amounts to approximately EUR 35 million.

The Group is currently constructing a specialized facility “Amtel-Chernozemye-II” which will produce Vredestein premium tires and will have annual production capacity of three million. The new unit will cover an area of 25,000 sq. metres and the cost of this greenfield project is estimated to total EUR 80 million.
